THE WEALTH OF NATURE
Right next to the village of Sykea, there is one of the largest hunting areas of Greece. While short walking or trekking, one can come across with a large number of wild animals, usually foxes, badgers, beech martens, squirrels, boars, and less often wolfs and deer. Wild goats are rather to be seen from a distance, during their risky adventures on the rocky mountains. Birdwatchers are to be thrilled too: eagles, hawks, jays, ravens, pheasants, woodcocks and partridges catch the eye. |
